Clinics

The practice employs 2 advanced nurse practitioners and one trainee advanced nurse practitioner who are able to consult and prescribe independently for most urgent conditions such as chest infections, coughs, colds, sore throats, insect bites, diarrhoea/vomiting, urine infections, etc.; and they are available by appointment both morning and afternoon.

Nurse-led Clinics

Our Nursing team hold regular weekly clinics for diabetes, coronary heart disease, asthma, hypertension and COPD. These clinics are for newly diagnosed patients and also for ongoing annual checks. You will be automatically recalled for a check-up where appropriate.

We also carry out blood tests, blood pressure checks, height/weight monitoring, ECG’s, injections and much more.

Our busy treatment room is available for dressings, complex case injections.   However, please be aware that we are not equipped to handle accident and emergency situations and for these you should attend your nearest A&E Hospital

Our nursing team offer a full range of clinics

We offer cervical smears, coil fitting and removal, pills, contraception implants and HRT.

Regular baby clinics are held and a doctor is present for developmental checks.

Childhood vaccinations are carried out in the baby clinics and the partners are keen to ensure that a full uptake of these immunisations is achieved. Vaccinations are given by the Nursing team

Parents/guardians will be contacted to remind them when their children’s vaccinations are due.

We offer minor surgery procedures at the practice, often avoiding the need for you to go to the hospital. 

Proceedures available include but not limited to, steroid injections, excisions, cryotherapy.

Your GP will ascertain whether this service is appropriate for your needs and we will notify you of available times.
